History:

The first ski jump at the Feldberg in the Taunus was built on the northwest slope as early as the 1920s. It was located "to the left of the well-known Hasenstein on the steep slope that leads from the Grosser Feldberg directly by the chapel to Oberreifenberg" and offered a view of the Gertrudis Chapel and the Oberreifenberg castle ruins. An exact construction date is not documented, in contrast to the major reconstruction in 1935. During this, the inrun and outrun were extended by the Frankfurt Labor District 25 Gau to enable even greater jump distances.
The second ski jump was built in 1932 near Siegfriedstrasse and enabled even bigger distances.
