History:

In 1960, the Ewersbach Ski Club built a ski jump on the Eichholzkopf near Rittershausen, a district of the municipality of Dietzhölztal. At the opening competition on December 27, 1960, distances of up to 12.5 m were achieved. In 1962 even the world champion and Olympic champion from Squaw Valley 1960 Georg Thoma came to the Eichholzkopf ski jump. In the 1960s, Hessian championships were also held there.
