History:

In 1911 the members of Skiclub Penzberg constructed the first ski jumping hill at Riederm. This jump was later reconstructed and inaugurated on 1927-01-06, so in the following years many competitions could be organized. In 1934 even Olympic gold medal winner Birger Ruud came to Penzberg in order to give a lecture on ski jumping technique. Two years later the construction of another ski jumping hill was planned, but refused due to financial reasons. After Word War II the ski jump was not reconstructed.
