The Reichental ski jump was modelled on the legendary Holmenkollen in Oslo and opened on St. Nicholas' Day in 1925. Its inrun tower was a remarkable structure, measuring 65 metres length and 27 metres height, and enabled jumps of up to 40 metres. On the small ski jump, jumps were about half as far.
The highlight of its short history was a competition in March 1931, to which almost 3,000 spectators travelled (mostly on special trains from the Isartalbahn). However, just three years later, the ski jumps were blown up and the WSV Baierbrunn was dissolved after just three years of existence. To this day, however, the remains of the fundaments can still be found in the forest, and the outrun is still visible.
