Already in 1931 the first small jump at the Ochsenwaide was built by the members of the sports club founded in 1920 and in winter 1932 it was opened. The largest jump was onto 25 m. But the facility was “too dangerous” and closed for competitions by the ski federation.
In 1951 the new ski jump, which allows jumps on 40 m, was built and inaugurated on 1952-01-27. With the enlargement of the Lautertal road in the 80’s the outrun was shortened dangerously, but the winters becoming more and more warm are a bigger threat for the hosting of ski jumping competitions.
In the year 2002, a competition took place after a long period of time, because of the excellent snow conditions.

Springen in Spiegelberg 1985
