History:

Spießhornschanze in Menzenschwand at Black Forest was inaugurated on February 19, 1950, winner of the opening competition was Oskar Härttich from St. Märgen.
At conversion and renovation works on the ski jumping facility in 2001 the large 65 meter hill was damaged by strong rain and can’t be used for ski jumping any more, since the small ski club SC Menzenschwand cannot afford the money necessary for a reconstruction. But both on 2003-03-13 inaugurated smaller jumps K30 and K15 had been highly frequented by young jumpers during 2000's and are even equipped with an artificial snow machine and floodlights.
