History:

The first ski jumping hill at Kniebis, a 960 meter high ridge in Black Forest, was built in 1908 at Eichelberg. Furthermore there was from 1909-10 onwards a ski jumping hill at Bäckerrain (Ochsenhang), which allowed jumps up to 18 m, and Kniebisschanze at Abendwiese.
The changeful history of the ski jumps of SV SZ Kniebis at Abendwiese began in 1929 with the first 25 meter hill, which had to be dismantled due to the construction of the bypass road in 1938. Instead a new K45 hill was set up, but then destroyed by a storm in 1948. As a replacement a K48 ski jump was constructed in 1951 and used until 1958. Then the two Kniebis-Schanzen K60 and K30 were constructed. On 1969-11-30 the K60 had top be torn down as a consequence of a fire in the summer before. In the winter before the Swabian Championships of Nordic Combined had take place there. Today only the hiking hut of the Skizunft is left there.

Ski-Heil
Walter
