History:

The Fürst-Joachim-Schanze in Friedenweiler was built in 1976, above the quarry in the monastery forest ("Klosterwald"), and completed in more than 1,500 hours of own work by the SV Friedenweiler. In the 80s regional junior competitions took place once in a while - at Christmas 1980 a certain Dieter Thoma won. However, at the end of 1980s interest in ski jumping declined considerably and so the ski jumping hills were abandoned. Between 2002 and 2004, the wooden inrun tower was finally dismantled due to the risk of accidents and associated liability risks. The landing hill and outrun are now completely overgrown, but the concrete take-off and the foundations of inrun and judges towers are still recognizable.
