History:

In 1943 this ski jumping hill at Geels Skov, which got its name from Holmenkollen in Oslo, was constructed by Københavns Skiklub. In its most successful times in the 1950’s there was a big audience that came to see the jumps up to 25 meters, often on snow brought from Norway. After the Olympics 1952 in Oslo the Danish team and many international jumpers made a competition in front of 30,000 spectators. Before on 1948-02-16 25,000 people watched another big competition.
During a visit together with Danish televison DR in November 2012 ski jumping world champion of 2009 Andreas Küttel encouraged a reconstruction of the ski jumping hill.

Skocznia Søllerød w filmie / Søllerød ski jump in movie

W filmie Larsa von Triera 'Idioci' z roku 1998 pokazana jest skocznia w Søllerød. Konkretnie od minuty 24:20 do 26:18. Taka mała ciekawostka.

//

In Lars von Trier's movie 'Idioterne' the ski jump in Søllerød is shown. From 24:20 to 26:18. I think it's interesting thing.
