History:

In summer 1957 the sports club of the Technical University Liberec constructed its ski jumping hill (K30). It is near the university in Kristianov, a part of the city. Later additionally a smaller ski jump (K20) was built and both were covered with plastic mattings. In the 70’s and 80’s a famous pupils tournament was made on the jumps. Thanks to ing. Kumpošt, computer technology have been used here for the very first time in Czech history. Today training and competitions take place mostly in summer, so on plastic - which is also due to a lack of snow at the location the hills are standing. Even though the complex was carefully maintained, some investments for a renovation will be needed in the near future. The current state is disastrous.
