History:

A ski club was founded in Québec City as early as 1907. In 1909, the first winter sports competitions were held on the Plaines d'Abraham. In ski jumping, distances of up to 20 meters were achieved. The wooden ski jump at the Martello 1 tower was built in 1910 and used until the 1920s.
