History:

In 1947, soldiers of the Yugoslav army built a 25-meter ski jumping hill in Jahorina. The engineer Aleksandar Trumić was responsible for the project. At the end of 1948, the old facility was replaced by two new hills: 25 and 45-meters by the famous engineer Stanko Bloudek. The hills were in the vicinity of the military rehabilitation center in Poljice. Apart from them, at that time there was also a 15-meter hill, located above the hotel "Šator".
In 1955, the Academic World Championships took place in Jahorina. The gold medal was won by Pekka Airaksinen from Finland, ahead of Janez Gorišek. Both had reached 40 meters in the final round. On all three hills, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national ski jumping championships were held in the 1950s. Such competitions were planned even in 1961, but then the facilities were already in bad condition, and in addition on the outrun of the largest hill a road was built. Ski jumping in Jahorina never came back to its glory.
