History:

Even though ski jumping has a long tradition in Bregenzerwald region, it was lacking of a plastic covered hill for beginners. Schiclub Egg tried hard to solve this issue. After the ground owner accepted the request, an appropriate location at Junkerau was found and so the construction could start in summer 2020.
Local companies, some sponsors and lots of volunteers from the ski club carried out the funding and construction of the small hill. In contrast to other hills of this size, the inrun track is not made with plastic mattings, but with a professional ceramic track. This allows beginners to jump with Alpine skis, but also jumping skis can be used.
In the future, the hill is not only supposed to be used by SC Egg, but also SC Bregenzerwald and members of the Vorarlberg Ski Association (VSV).
