The Naturfreundeschanze (later also known as Mayr-Meinhof-Schanze) in Göss (part of Leoben in Styria) was located at the level of the Mayr-Meinhof sawmill. It had a natural inrun and landing, partially profiled with stones. The construction took 4,000 hours of volunteer work and over 1,300 cubic meters of earth. The opening competition on January 15, 1950 was watched by 3,000 spectators. The final end of the ski jump took place in 1974, when the runway was crossed by the new S6 expressway.
