The ski jump of the Admont winter sports club was built in 1924 and inaugurated on March 1, 1925 in front of 1500 spectators. At first, the ski jump in the Himmelreichgraben allowed jumps of 30 meters, but already in 1925 and 1926, it was improved to allow 45-meter jumps. The highlight of Admont's ski jumping history were the tri-state championships (Styria, Upper Austria, and Salzburg), which took place on January 22nd and 23rd, 1927.
After the Second World War, the Styrian Ski Championships were held in Admont in January 1950, with the ski jumping competitions being held on the Paradiesschanze.
