History:

At Gosau in Upper Austria in Dachstein area, the ski club "Rabenkogler" was founded in 1919. Around 1934-35, the large Dachstein 60-meter hill was built at Hintertal with the help of the Norwegian skiing coach Larsen Urdahl. Sepp Bradl won a competition there in 1937 with distances of 63 and 66 meters, and out of competition he even jumped 69 meters.
Also after World War II the ski jump was revived in 1948 and then later operated by ATSV Gosau (now ASKÖ). With a K-Point of 76 meters it was host of the Austrian Championships in 1967, where local hero Sepp Lichtegger from Bad Goisern celebrated the victory. In 1970, Gosau hosted the Junior European Championships, but in 1980's Dachsteinschanze was deconstructed.
Nowadays, Nordic Skiteam Salzkammergut is organizing talent scouting competitions on a small snow jumping hill in Gosau. There is also the so-called Wirtsleitn hobby jumping, where teams of two compete on a snow hill.

Fand die Junioren-Europameisterschaft 1970 nicht auf der Kalmbergschanze in Bad Goisern statt?

In der Geschichte der Schanze fehlt die Info, dass 1970 auf dieser Anlage die damaligen Junioren Europameisterschaften, die Vorgängerveranstaltung der heutigen Juniorenweltmeisterschaften stattfanden.
