History:

At Krasnaya Polyana, the mountain cluster about 50 km apart of Sochi, for the Olympic Winter Games 2014 a completely new winter sports are is going to be constructed, including Olympic ski jumps at Esto-Sadok.
For nearly 50m € on 610 m altitude five ski jumping hills K125, K95, K72, K45, K25 with a 9,600 spectator ski stadium will be build. The schedule started with first preliminary works in 2009 and the main part of soil works followed in spring 2010. Until August 2011 the ski jumps of the National Ski Jumping Center "RusSki Gorki" should be completed and already in February 2012 the very first Continental-Cup competition should take place, but construction works delayed seriously.
The Aloslide inrun track of German manufacturer ETEC-Ceramics was installed on the K125 hill in December 2011 and although the two Olympic ski jumps aren't completed yet, first trial jumps were performed on the large hill on February 18, 2012.
The hills were finally inaugurated with a Continental Cup event in July 2012. The first Ski Jumping World Cup in Russia and Olympic test event took take place in December 2012. Due to warm tempetatures only the normal hill could be prepared.

summer world record

147,5 m set by Dimitri Vassiliev on this hill is a summer/plastic world record

Status

Hallo Oliver,
Deutschi

Hill size of the normal hill

According to the FIS certificate, the HS of the normal hill is 106 m. http://berkutschi.com/assets/files/000/000/029/original/certificate_sochi.pdf?1354803149

(Anyway it is very confusing, that even at fis-ski.com you can find at least 3 different values... Nevertheless, the data given in the certificate seems to be the official one.)

Jugendschanzen
