History:

In 1950’s at Kemijärvi a 50 meter ski jumping hill was constructed, on which the world champion, four hills tournament and Olympic gold medal winnner Veikko Kankkonen jumped hill record with 53,5 m. The tower was dismantled in 1980’s and since there has been no jump at Kemijärvi.
Then in 2005 a K30 facility was constructed after plans of Taipo Räisänen, but there has only been one single jump on 12 meters on it.
