More than 5000 ski jumping hills in our archives!
on 2020-05-04
The ski jumping hill archive has just passed the mark of over 5000 ski jumps, which are documented with data, photos, results, records and historic information - and the list is still growing daily!
The Ski Jumping Hill Archive went online for the ski jumping winter season 2002-2003 and has since been documenting all things to know about ski jumps worldwide. While in the beginning information was available only for few well-known ski jumps, the website was been growing steadily over the years and now offers data, photos, results, records and historic information on ski jumping facilities near and far - from the arctic circle to the Andes, from Alaska to New Zealand, and from small junior hill up to the 253.5-meter world record hill.
In particular during the last few months the ski jumping hill team has been very active and has discovered and added numerous, mainly historic ski jumping hills. Now over 5000 ski jumps at more than 2300 locations or ski jumping facilities have been documented. Presumably there are still thousands of hills still missing in the archive. Thus, we are still dependent on the support of our website visitors and happy to receive any missing pieces of information!
