New ski jumps in Planica ready!

on 2012-10-09

The plastic covering of the new large and normal hill at Planica Nordic Center was completed. So both ski jumps are ready for the inauguration on up-coming Sunday.

After a bit more than one year construction time the first two ski jumping hills of the "Planica Nordic Center" can now be put into operation. The works on the HS 139 and HS 104 at the location of former "Bloudkova Velikanka" had started in July 2011 and now the last mattings have been installed.

During their visit in mid September the atheltes of the Slovenian national team symbolically supported the plastic covering works and already on Sunday, October 14 they will return to Planica for the national championships on the large hill. The inauguration event will be starting at 9:30 and at 11:00 Primož Peterka will have the honour of the inaugural jump.
