Inauguration of converted HS 106 at Oberstdorf on Friday

After only seven months of construction time the new HS 106 (K95) normal hill at Erdinger Arena is going to be offcially inaugurated on Friday, October 21, 2011.
By the end of March this year the deconstruction works on the old K90 ski jumping hill at Erdinger Arena Oberstdorf had started and now it can be inaugurated again only 7 months later. On Friday, October 21, 2011 the blessing of the new HS 106 is going to be held in the afternoon and afterwards the usual training business will start already at 4pm with the German national teams of ladies ski jumping and Nordic Combined B-Team, as well as young jumpers from Oberstdorf.
The inrun tower of the nearly 30-year-old WSC ski jump of 1987 and 2005 was removed in end of March 2011, then a new take-off was constructed 6.10 meters behind and 20 cm higher than the old one. By end of July the wooden inrun could be put back in place again, but with an angle lowered from 37° to 35°. In September the installation of the new combined ALOSLDIE inrun track by CeramTec-ETEC GmbH for summer and winter followed and now works are finished so far that the usage of the almost 5 million Euro expensive ski jump can start anew.

Może właśnie teraz zaczną organizować jakieś zawody np. Ladies COC, albo jakieś mniejsze zawody. Na pewno skocznie posłuży klubowi. Dramatycznej sytuacji nie było, ale Niemcy są bardzo zapobiegawczy. Woleli mieć pewność, że skocznia spełnia wymogi.
Homologację FIS mieli ważną do roku 2013, a jedynymi zawodami rozgrywanymi na tej skoczni były w ostatnich latach konkursy Pucharu Alp. Więc dramatycznej sytuacji nie mieli, a mimo wszystko postanowili przebudować obiekt.
HS 106
Inna sprawa, że musieli to wykonać, żeby dostać nową homologację FIS, aby móc rozgrywać jakieś zawody, ale szybkość i zastosowane rozwiązania budzą podziw. Koszt też niezbyt wysoki jak na taką inwestycję.

W tym czasie zburzyli starą wieżę, postawili od podstaw zupełnie nową. Jednak zeskoku nie ruszyli, po prostu cofnęli o te 6 metrów próg, przez co z zeskoku zrobiło się HS106, ale w takim razie punkt K powinien wynosić K96.
