Mit der Aufnahme der Schanze am Trout Lake in Coleraine, Minnesota (USA) erreicht das Skisprungschanzen-Archiv seinen nächsten Meilenstein: Insgesamt zählen wir nun 4000 Anlagen!

19.10.2023: 7000. Schanze ins Archiv aufgenommen!

Die nächste große Marke ist geknackt: Mit der kleinen Holzschanze auf dem Campus der Hebron Academy in Hebron, Maine (USA) wurde die insgesamt 7000. Schanze ins Archiv aufgenommen!

26.02.2023: Neue Granåsen-Schanzen in Trondheim eröffnet

Nach zweijährigem Umbau für die Nordische Ski-WM 2025 sind die beiden Granåsen-Schanzen in Trondheim am 1. Februar als K124 und K94 wiedereröffnet worden.

14.06.2022: Brand zerstört Schanzen in Biberau-Biberschlag

Diese Nachricht löste nicht nur in Thüringen Bestürzung aus: Durch einen Brand wurden die Skisprungschanzen im Roßbachtal in Biberau-Biberschlag (Landkreis Hildburghausen) zerstört. Wie das Feuer entstand ist noch unklar, die Kriminalpolizei Suhl geht von Brandstiftung aus. Der Verein hat inzwischen ein Spendenkonto eingerichtet.

29.03.2022: Copper Peak: Finanzierung der Renovierung endlich gesichert

Mit einem kürzlich beschlossenen Gesetz hat der Senat von Michigan 20 Millionen US Dollar für die Renovierung der Skiflugschanze in Ironwood zugesichert. Damit könnte der Umbau zur weltweit größten Sommerschanze bis 2024 erfolgen.

Hill record on snow for men (K74): 82.5 m by Kristian Kind Olsen (Norway) on 22 March 2003. Longest standing jump on snow: 84 m by Odd Vegar Knive (Norway) on 28 January 1997 (trial round).

Sad visit

This visit wasnt exciting as a skijumping fan.. But nice as a hillwalker to explore this hill and see how does it look since 2017. I really hope the hill will have the renovation and jumping will again be there because the location looks really nice. I guess last jumps were in 2017 also back then the hill by photos i had some thinkings if it would still be in use it didnt look that good for me. Anyways next hills are in France-Lorraine and Markstein, maybe Zurich. Nice to see my photos here and hope next will be from new hill.
